GET TICKETSLe Parody is the musical project of Sole Parody, a Spanish singer-songwriter who combines dark pop, tribal folklore, flamenco, and electronic dance music in her songs. Between the technological and the melodramatic, using Spanish syllables, chorus-free structures, and only instruments that fit in a carry-on suitcase, she connects with countless blurred influences, from the Andes to India, passing through the deserts of North Africa. She creates songs of love and heartbreak, of revolutions, bodies, and dances. Songs that "sound familiar" but "don't resemble anything." The music that connects the dots between Björk and Julieta Venegas. The kind that would fit in the space between a festival and a rave. No less genuine than her compositions is her unique live format: Sole combines the use of samplers and pedals, live mixing the different layers of loops that make up her songs, with the presence of an atypical folk singer-songwriter, using her voice and ukulele to weave melodies and atmospheres that draw the audience from the most attentive listener to the dance floor. From the cold to the fire. From home to the unknown.
